Livestock producers in Namibia have a number of responsibilities and obligations to legally own, keep, rear and market livestock. This document provides a short guide to these responsibilities and obligations. For complete guidelines, rules and standards, please download the Animal Identification Regulations (2017), Animal Health Act (Act 11 of 2011), Stock Brands Act (Act 24 of 1995), FAN Meat Rules and FAN Meat Standards for Producers.
